Here we have a fabulous Jaguar D-type which we saw at the Autosport International Show at the NEC. Couldn’t resist squashing it of course … this is the car of your childhood dreams!

BURNOUTS by Squash My Car
Classic burnouts here! We’ve had a great laugh here squashing these fantastic cars in the middle of the most outrageous burnouts. Laying that rubber down is perfect for photo opportunities. We dread to think what the state of those tyres is now, but once they’re getting worn down it’s the best way to go – you know what they say, if you’re gonna bin ‘em spin ‘em!
Nismo Racing Division … enhanced by squashing!
Squash My Car can turn to any marque and squash it proud but today is the turn of Nismo, the Nissan race division which will be going in-house with Nissan from 2013. We love Nismo because it produces spitting, snarling racing machines, cars which look like racers and sound like racers. It’s no surprise that they usually win too. In true winning form we have squashed a few Nismos and we are pleased with the results, not least because the weight loss will make them unbeatable. That said, others may catch on and there may well be other squashed racers appearing on these pages in the not-too-distant-future!

Squash My Porsche
We are always grateful at Squash My Car for rave reviews, especially when we know our app has had the effect it was designed for – to get people to forget all about work and get SQUASHING instead! So we couldn’t have been more pleased when the guys at Ferdinand Magazine, the new free monthly digital magazine for Porsche enthusiasts, told us that this was exactly what had happened to them when the Squash My Car app appeared in their office. ”We have to confess,” they say, “we’ve been wasting time in the Ferdinand offices this morning, thanks to a great little iPhone and Android app. Squash my Car does exactly what it says on the tin…” Read on here …
Well it got us thinking. We have always loved squashing Porsches. The reality is that we love squashing everything (with two wheels) but the Porsche seems to squash particularly well. For this reason, here is our tribute to the mighty Porsche. To check out the amazing Ferdinand Magazine click here: ferdinandmagazine.com

Is Squash My Car practical?
A number of people have asked us about the practical application of Squash My Car! We have, of course, pointed them in the direction of the beautiful (squashed) images on this blog and also on our Facebook and Twitter pages (following us yet? Now is a good time!). Yes, they say, we recognise that Squash My Car is the pre-eminent chopper of motor vehicle images and there is nothing that produces anything cuter, sexier or more spectacular … but (but??) is there anything practical about it? Well, we could point them towards all great visual art and tell them that fun and aesthetics come first and practicality second. However, we did discover this video. It got us thinking that if this Panda could be squeezed just a bit by a real live Squash My Car app this gent’s life would be a whole lot easier – having said that, he may just like it exactly the way it is!

We are nearly there! Monday Jan 23rd 2012 is the day we have been waiting for, the day we get to launch our app to everyone with an iPhone, iPod or Android phone who loves cars as much as we do (and we know how many serious petrol-headed, gas-guzzling, car junky auto nuts there are out there!). GREAT NEWS – APP GOING LIVE JAN 23rd 2012
Champagne corks will be popping here on Monday 23rd January when the SQUASH MY CAR App finally goes live on the Apple and Android App stores. We can’t wait to see the great squashes you come up with using the app! Make sure that you post your favourites right here on the squashmycar.com BLOG. The best thing is you can squash at any time wherever you happen to be – so we’ll be seeing great squashes from Daytona at the end of January to local motorsport events wherever you happen to be in any part of the world. By the end of the year the collection of squashed cars is going to be AMAZING and we hope everyone has a great time building this collection up. We will be running competitions for our favourite squashes and adding great pics from all the great motoring events we have in our diaries for 2012. This is going to be a great year and we want everyone using the app to have fun. So from Monday enjoy it and keep squashing!
Great Day at Autosport International Show 2012
Chris and Steve headed off this morning in Steve’s Noble M12 to the Autosport International Show and Performance Car Show in Birmingham. We have had a great day. We were delighted to meet Andrew, Richard & Helen from Travel Destinations who have looked after us with our Le Mans trips for many years and are organising all the Squash My Car motorsport travel trips this year. Thanks guys. We had the pleasure of meeting British Formula 3 Champion Felipe Nasr who will be racing in the 50th Anniversary of the Rolex 24 at Daytona www.sunocodaytonachallenge.com. We were also delighted to meet MSV F3 Champion Aaron Steele who has won a race seat in the GRAND-AM 200 race taking place during the same weekend as the Rolex 24 www.sunoco200challenge.com. We will definitely be following their progress and wish them all the best. Richard Noble was on the Bloodhound SSC (0-1000 mph in 40 seconds!) stand, another project we are following with interest here at Squash My Car. We saw Paul di Resta, in our opinion a star of the F1 paddock, very pleasant and a total talent. Red Bull Racing Team Principal Christian Horner was present along with all the glitz and, most importantly, the cars, hundreds of them in all shapes and sizes and all desperate to be squashed. There will be lots to see here over the next few days and for now we have added some great pics below. As always, a fantastic day out. Squash it!
