We have been having a cool time here at SquashMyCar. Our Noble M12 is currently at Jetstream Motorsport at Bruntingthorpe, Leicestershire getting tweaked and finally sorted – it’s also getting its wheels painted orange! Not long to go to Le Mans which will be the SquashMyCar Noble’s maiden outing in its new livery. See our previous post for full details. Thank you to everyone for sending in your squashed cars, including to our Facebook and Twitter pages – after all, that’s what keeps these pages buzzing and that’s what we do this for, so that you can have a bit of fun with what we all love … CARS! SquashMyCar is now selling on a global scale which pleases us greatly – last week we must say thanks to our buddies in the USA for downloading most apps, followed by the UK, New Zealand, Australia, Spain, Japan and Canada. It’s great to know that the SquashMyCar message is fast spreading globally and we love to know that what we have created and enjoyed so much here in the UK is being enjoyed in exactly the same way so many thousands of miles away.
We pride ourselves on reacting to customer feedback and giving support to the best of our abilities. We don’t just say how can we help … we actually mean it! For that reason if anyone out there is experiencing any difficulties with the app in any way at all just get in touch and we will work our butts off to sort it for you – we promise! Just get in touch here.
We couldn’t sign off without adding a few of our favourite squashes … so here goes and until next time … SQUASH IT!
In addition to a bit of mechanical work, we have been getting the SquashMyCar Noble up to speed in a number of other ways to, including getting it looking spot on! Part of the enjoyment of creating the SquashMyCar app is getting it out there and seeing people enjoy it. We don’t believe in dry old fashioned advertising. Instead we get stuck in and that means going where car lovers go: to the shows, to the races and the best of all auto events. And if you’re gonna go, then go in style – that’s why the SquashMyCar Noble M12 is being transformed into the perfect SquashMyCarMobile. That doesn’t means we’ve squashed it (not yet at least) but we have given it a great new look. This is how we did it:
We started out on photoshop getting an idea of what we wanted. The Noble has so many scoops, curves and undulations we had to think carefully about where to place the graphics.
Sean Davis at Creative FX produced these great mock ups
Creative FX then turned the vision into reality. All that’s left is the wheels!
All that’s left now is to get the wheels painted and the SquashMyCar Noble will be ready to roll. We can’t wait to travel far and wide in it and if you spot us please come and say hello! This excellent work was carried out by Creative FX www.fxuk.net based in Bromley, Kent, UK and we are delighted with the result. Thanks guys and … SQUASH IT!

We have had a great week here on squash my car. In these early days of getting out there and meeting people we have been busy on Facebook and Twitter and finding out just how much genuine enthusiasm there is out there in the car and motorsport crowds. It doesn’t get much better than that! It is great to be making friends along the way and we are hugely pleased that you all love the app. That counts for a lot so thank you everyone. It is hugely appreciated. We have had some great support. Just a few examples are @Drivin4Pleasure (very complimentary so thank you, thank you, thank you), @BigBearF1 (‘keep up the cracking work” We will, thanks), @BlackrockAllan (“your app is addictive, great fun!” Cheers guys), @AlistairF1 (sorry the app kept you up all night!), @japplebyracing (“I just love this app from @SquashMyCar 2 more then I will stop.” Ha ha, we knew it was addictive) and @RupertLichfield (who allowed us to use all the muscle cars on their website www.newport-imports.com). This is to name just a few. Check these guys out on Twitter. Great fun. To celebrate here are a couple of before and after shots. This is what the SquashMyCar app does.
Classic burnouts here! We’ve had a great laugh here squashing these fantastic cars in the middle of the most outrageous burnouts. Laying that rubber down is perfect for photo opportunities. We dread to think what the state of those tyres is now, but once they’re getting worn down it’s the best way to go – you know what they say, if you’re gonna bin ‘em spin ‘em!
We are always grateful at Squash My Car for rave reviews, especially when we know our app has had the effect it was designed for – to get people to forget all about work and get SQUASHING instead! So we couldn’t have been more pleased when the guys at Ferdinand Magazine, the new free monthly digital magazine for Porsche enthusiasts, told us that this was exactly what had happened to them when the Squash My Car app appeared in their office. ”We have to confess,” they say, “we’ve been wasting time in the Ferdinand offices this morning, thanks to a great little iPhone and Android app. Squash my Car does exactly what it says on the tin…” Read on here …
Well it got us thinking. We have always loved squashing Porsches. The reality is that we love squashing everything (with two wheels) but the Porsche seems to squash particularly well. For this reason, here is our tribute to the mighty Porsche. To check out the amazing Ferdinand Magazine click here: ferdinandmagazine.com
We are nearly there! Monday Jan 23rd 2012 is the day we have been waiting for, the day we get to launch our app to everyone with an iPhone, iPod or Android phone who loves cars as much as we do (and we know how many serious petrol-headed, gas-guzzling, car junky auto nuts there are out there!). We have had great fun getting here and we can’t wait to start on the open road ahead, a road full of squashing the greatest cars on earth, going to the greatest motorsport events on earth and catching up with greatest people on earth!
We know how hard it is waiting, so we have put in a Public Information Notice below … plus a few more great squashes to whet your appetites … SQUASH IT!
